Soap Making with Essential Oils

Join us for this workshop where we will be making soap with essential oils. Wondering how your personal care products rate? The Abominable Snow Monster: A Sculpting Workshop

Two Sessions: Friday, November 15 (Sculpting) & Friday, November 22 (Painting) Time: 6:30-8:30 pm He roars, he snarls, he growls…and smiles, too. This is what an arctic monster does, also known as a Bumble. At this free program we’ll be sculpting & painting our own version of this famous kindhearted giant. And don’t forget, Bumbles bounce! A Spirit Circle: Connecting to the Other-Side

Wednesday, November 13 7:00-9:30 pm with Psychic Medium Star In a Spirit Circle you will sit in a friendly environment and receive information, guidance, messages, physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. You may connect with your spirit guide, angels or a loved one who needs to get a message across. These circles will heighten your level of spiritual awareness and your connection to the Universe. Young Adult Interactive Movie Night featuring “The Witches”

Tonight, October 30th 6:45-8:15 PM, in the library Annex our young patrons (10-18 years) are invited to watch and participate in “The Witches”. Based on the novel by Roald Dahl of the same name and produced by Jim Henson! A list of call and response interactions will be encouraged during the viewing to make the experience interactive. Our teens will enjoy popcorn and laughs as they witness the adventure of Luke, an unlikely hero, as he tries to thwart the evil plans of the powerful Grand High Witch! Free Breast and Prostate Cancer Education

Tuesday, October 29 7:00-8:00 pm Are YOU unsure of when to be screened for BREAST CANCER? Do YOU know the risk factors for PROSTATE CANCER? The Breast and Prostate Cancer Peer Education Program provides education to men and woman ages 50-74 about breast and prostate cancer. Learn more about: • The risks for breast and prostate cancer • When and where to be screened for breast cancer • How to obtain free breast cancer screening if uninsured • Why older men should talk with their doctor about prostate cancer The Breast and Prostate Cancer Peer Education Program is part of a state-wide effort using local, peer educators to speak with men and women in their communities about breast and prostate cancer. Supported with funds the New York State Department of Health, this education initiative aims to help women better understand the need for regular breast cancer screening, and access screening if appropriate, and educate men about prostate cancer and encourage them to speak to their health care provider.
