Check out our Final Drafts!

This summer, a group of children ages 4-12 worked hard with a team of volunteers, their parents and caregivers, and our staff to write and illustrate their own books! Over 9 weeks, the youth worked on rough drafts, edited, and finalized their projects. They learned about character development and perspective taking, adding in details about how characters feel into their plots. Our team couldn’t be more impressed by their final products and perseverance! Thanks to sponsorship by Dutchess County and the NYS Office of Child and Family Services, each child will receive a free published copy of their book to keep. Take a look at the drafts and covers of some of our participants’ soon-to-be released books!
