You do not need to re-register to participate.  Homeschool Space: Elementary Third Thursday of the Month (09/21, 10/19, 11/16, & 12/14), 1:00-2:00 PM – Neena, Library Annex Age range: Homeschoolers ages 5-10, or those homeschooling in Kindergarten – 4th grade. Each month, homeschoolers come together to work on a fun, engaging project with friends and other homeschoolers in our region. The theme for November’s meeting is Emergency Preparedness for kids and gratitude cards, featuring the American Red Cross curriculum.   Registration is required. Please register for each month you wish to attend independently.

Each month, homeschoolers come together to work on a fun, engaging project with friends and other homeschoolers in our region. The theme for December’s meeting is snow globes! We’ll learn about how they work, design our own, and even create snow globe thaumatropes as a science connection. Registration is required. Please register for each month you wish to attend independently.

Our group will talk about safe online behavior and what it means to be a good digital citizen/kind online. We will also create group and individual art to reflect our learning. We’ll be making bubbles using various tools, designing our own bubble wands, and try and make the biggest bubbles possible using scientific thinking. Registration is required for this program.

Registration is required or preferred for our December in-person events. Passive programming in the children’s area is open to all. Book Launch Party!

Saturday, October 15, 4:30 – 5:30 PM Free. Drop ins welcome, authors should contact Miss Neena directly to RSVP and collect their books. Our Make Me An Author summer program participants created their own picture books and we published them! Join our new authors, ages 5-12, as we celebrate their new books and get a peek at their incredible creations! The community is invited to join for this after hours event featuring snacks, book previews from the authors, and more. Fall Youth Programs – Registration Now Open!

Our Fall programs are just around the corner! Registration for child and teen programs for our fall cycle, Sept. 24 – Nov. 19 starts today, Monday, 9/12! Register anytime after this date. Children’s Programs: For more information on our programs for children birth – grade 4, visit our Current Children’s Programs Page. Register online from this portal, our calendar, or by contacting Children’s Program Coordinator Neena McBaer at children@pawlinglibrary.org or 845-855-3444. Registration is preferred for all programs in the children’s department. Drop-ins will be accommodated whenever possible, though drop-in participation is not guaranteed. Teen/Tween Programs: Visit our Teen Programs page for information on this fall’s series of events for youth ages 10-18. Register from our calendar or through the teen programs page. Are your tickets entered for the summer reading raffle?

REMINDER: Our first raffle in our Summer Reading Challenge will be 7/15! If you’ve been logging your reading online or with a paper log, you’ve been earning raffle tickets to win prizes in our raffles! But have you stopped by the library to fill them out and pick up your other prizes? Want a chance to win? Kids and teens who have leveled up in the Summer Reading Challenge will need to stop by the library before 7/15 to pick up prizes and enter their raffle tickets or contact program coordinator Neena to redeem their tickets. Adult participants do not need to stop by; their tickets are automatically entered for them! For the 7/15 raffle, you could win tickets to games from awesome area teams like the Hudson Valley Renegades, New York Red Bulls, and Danbury Westerners. Got questions? Literacy Heroes Family Concert: Brady Rymer and the Little Band that Could (Families and all ages) Saturday, 9/24, 1:30 -2:15 PM during Pawling Rotary’s Fall Festival *This event held at Lakeside Park, 2 Lakeside Drive, Pawling, NY 12564* 3-time Grammy nominees, Brady Rymer and the Little Band that could are stellar performers, creating upbeat, fun music ideal for the whole family. Join us, free on Saturday, September 24, 1:30 – 2:15 PM at Lakeside Park for a 45 minute show by Brady and the band during the Pawling Rotary Fall Festival.
