Let’s get ready for the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse! Pawling will see nearly a total solar eclipse on the afternoon of Monday, April 8. To prepare, patrons can request a packet of solar eclipse viewing glasses and eclipse information to help safely view this rare phenomenon. All requested glasses will need to be picked up from the library during regular operating hours.

The library will call or email you when your order is ready for pickup. Limit: Five pairs of glasses per family. Orders are first come, first served.

PLEASE NOTE: Glasses are one size fits all. Young children may be too small to use these glasses and safely view the eclipse.
