This introduction class for incoming 5th grade and up will be taught by Chess Master Matan Prilleltensky.
Students will learn tactics they can use to win material and deliver checkmate in their games. They will also learn opening principles and the basis of positional play, so they are ready to enter a beginner tournament at the end of the class!

Matan Prilleltensky is a National Master and chess teacher whose students have competed successfully at all levels of scholastic chess, from beginner tournaments to the World Youth Championship. School teams he coached have won grade level national championships from 2nd grade up to 12th grade.
