Toddlers in Training Thursdays, 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM Nine week event series, 04/01 - 06/08 Age range: 18-36 months & a caregiver, expanded age range! NO CLASS 05/02 Library Annex, with Neena Interactive story time featuring puppets, instruments, and elements of music & movement. Program ends with play.  Registration is highly suggested. You can register in advance or day of! Join us for as many or as few classes as you are able, but please ONLY register for the dates you will attend. Due to the number of no-shows we have had at recent events, registration is now week by week. Drop ins will be accommodated whenever space is available, but advanced registration is preferred. NEW: This program is also being offered on Tuesdays this spring. If Thursdays are full, we invite you to see if Tuesdays are available.

Baby Bounce and Groove Thursdays, 11:00 AM - 11:45 AM Nine week event series, 04/01 - 06/08 NO CLASS 05/02 Age range: birth -18 months & a caregiver  Library Annex, with Neena Join us for stories and songs. We’ll focus on the keys for early literacy—singing, reading, talking, playing, and engaging with caregivers. This program ends with 10 - 15 minutes of play time. Registration is highly suggested. You can register in advance or the day of! Join us for as many or as few classes as you are able, but please ONLY register for the dates you will attend. Due to the number of no-shows we have had at recent events, registration is now week by week. Drop ins will be accommodated whenever space is available, but advanced registration is preferred. This program is also offered on Tuesdays this spring. It is the same class both days and we ask families to limit themselves to just one day a week.

Battle of the Books Team Meeting

The Pawling Library's Battle of the Books team for middle school students will meet on alternate Mondays to discuss the books and practice trivia questions for this year's competition. The Battle of the Books is a Mid-Hudson Library System-wide program for middle and high school students that celebrates books and reading, team work, and friendly-competition. During this weekly program, we’ll learn about simple circuits starting with what a circuit is and then, we'll use squishy circuits and paper circuits for hands-on discovery. For children in grades 1 through 4. Registration is required.

Thank you.   This writing group, led by author and teacher Walter Woodhouse and author Steve Haggerty, is open to anyone ages 18 and up who has an interest in writing. We welcome books of fiction, short stories, nonfiction, and poetry. The program will run as the classic writing workshop, where participants have the opportunity to read their work and offer helpful comments to one another. Please join us for this weekly program.   About our presenters:   Walter Woodhouse: Before retiring in 2012, Mr. Woodhouse was Assistant Superintendent for Instruction for Nyack Public Schools, where he began as the English Department Chair. He also served as Assistant Headmaster at the Rockland Country Day School, where he began as a teacher. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Oregon in Eugene, as well as an M.A. in Education from Pace University. He and his wife, Martha, raised four children in Nyack, New York before moving to Pawling, and now...
