This summer, families signed up for Family Fun Team and were charged with a mission to create a mini-golf course for our end of summer celebration. For the 13 families who persevered, it was a journey of inspiration, creativity and family collaboration that resulted in an amazing miniature golf course created mostly from recyclable materials donated by Westchester Modular. Seeing is believing…

Families begin by choosing cardboard.

There are lots of choices thanks to Westchester Modular.

Families size up the selection...

...and begin to create a plan.

Families think about their design...

...and discuss the many possibilities!

They combine recyclables to create new possibilities.

Families work together to create their own unique design.

Everyone is part of the planning.

Dads arrive right from the train!

They begin to measure sideboards.

Size adjustments start.

Themes begin to emerge and take form.

Week 2 we add the "green."

The creativity really begins to grow.

Everyone moves forward on their plan.

Measuring and cutting takes time...

...and patience...

...especially with lots of little ones!

Parents and children continue to work together on their plan.

Whoa! What will this be?

Week 3 we finally get a break in the weather!

Everyone outside to paint!

Ideas are emerging!

We paint with brushes...

...and sponges!

Week 4 themes become realities...softball!

Drainpipes?

A dog house!

An ocean?

Castle walls?

Waves?

Beaches?

A house?

One week remaining and wait until you see what happens!

First a celebration of hard work and creativity!

Ms. Karen gives us directions to keep it organized.
