Fall Programs

 

Registration for Fall session begins September 1st.

Most Programs begin the week of September 16th and will end the week of November 18th

Exceptions include: Dungeons & Dragons on September 14th and December 14th, Artic Ecosystems in Transition on December 14th.  

You can register for Fall Programs as of September 1st by:

  • Coming into the library to fill out a registration form
  • Emailing Phil for a digital registration form at teen@pawlinglibrary.org

Registration will be closed: October 11th at 4:00 PM

 

Weekly Programs: 

Minecraft Monday 

Mondays, 4:30-5:30 PM

Play competitive games in either creative or survival mode.

 

Garden Club

Tuesdays, 4:00-5:00 PM

Gardening Club will meet once a week to tend the garden. Learning about gardening into the colder months of the later season and how to plan for the next year.

 

Roblox Club

Wednesdays, 5:15-6:15 PM

Play Roblox in a group setting on the library laptops. Join games with your friends and play together!

 

Minecraft Code Connection

Wednesdays, 4:00-5:00

Brainstorm, plan, create, and build something in a wilderness map in Minecraft! Cooperate with your peers to bring your vision to life!

 

Fantasy Friday

Fridays, 5:30-6:30

A creative writing workshop that will focus on building a fantasy world with its own history, mythos, geography, peoples, conflicts and characters. Once a week our teens will meet to build and share their visions of fantastic worlds.

 

Project Do Something

Mondays, 6:00-8:00 PM

Project Do Something is a community service organization that meets on Friday nights to work on small but impact-full projects to better our community. Earn community service hours while having fun with your friends. No registration is necessary for this program – just show up ready to work!

Dungeons & Dragons

2nd Saturdays: September 14th, October 12th, November 9th, and December 14th 11:00 AM-2:00 PM

Looking for adventurers to join us at the library for a monthly installment of the world’s most famous table top RPG, Dungeons & Dragons!

 

Escape Room Night: Escape the Library

Fridays September 20th, October 18th, November 15th 7:15-8:15 PM

Think you have what it takes to solve your way out of a locked puzzle room? Join us at the library and find out!

 

One-time Programs

Table Top Game Night

Friday September 27th,  7:00-9:00 PM

Come play card and board games in the library. The library will provide a selection of games, but you are also encouraged to bring any games you might want to play.

 

Cubing Workshop

Saturday September 28th,  11:30 AM-1:30 PM

Back by popular demand! The team from The Cubicle will be back for another Cubing workshop that will demonstrate new ways to approach their Cube puzzles.

 

The Wonderful World of Bats

October 9th, 11:00 AM-12:00PM

This program brings students into the exotic world of bats, and introduces them to echolocation and the vital role bats have in our environment.

 

Pumpkin Decorating Night

Tuesday October 15th, 7:15-8:15 PM

The end of the warm weather of summer brings shorter days, chilly weather, and of course Halloween! We will be decorating some pumpkins for everyone’s front step!

 

Interactive Movie Night

Wednesday October 30th, 6:45-8:15 PM

We will be actively watching the film adaptation of Roald Dahl’s book “The Witches”(1990)  produced by Jim Henson in preparation for Halloween!

 

Artic Ecosystems in Transition

Saturday December 14th, 2:30-4:00 PM

Moki Kokori, the 14th woman to reach the geographic north pole and senior editor of the UN report on climate change, is coming to teach our teens about the Artic ecosystem! She will be bringing artifacts, pictures, and clip of her own adventures to shed light on a place most of us will never go.
