Now she’s been vegan for more than a decade. In this introduction to veganism, Maya will share the compelling ethical, environmental, and health reasons to opt for a vegan lifestyle and share her favorite tips and tricks for everything from eating out at restaurants to buying leather-free fancy shoes, to navigating the holidays. Bring your curiosity and your questions!

About our presenter: Maya Gottfried is the author of three children’s books, including Good Dog and Our Farm: By the Animals of Farm Sanctuary (both published by Knopf), as well as the adult nonfiction lifestyle guide Vegan Love. Her essays have appeared in media outlets including Oprah Daily,  The Washington Post, and Stat (Boston Globe Media).
