Youth Yoga and Mindfulness

This summer, a special four week class in Youth Yoga and Mindfulness will be offered to Pawling teens. The class will be taught by Denise Nobile of Youth Nation Yoga.

Classes will be held on the following dates:

Tuesday, July 11, 4:30-5:15

Tuesday, July 18, 4:30-5:15

Tuesday, July 25, 4:30-5:15

Tuesday, August 1, 4:30-5:15

This yoga class provides a great way to unwind and move. In a non-competitive and nurturing environment, teens will learn a wide variety of yoga poses and activities. Thematic ideas such as peace, respect, and acceptance will be introduced. This class provides a fun-filled way to cultivate self-esteem and body awareness. Yoga style games refine co-operation and listening skills and introduce mindfulness and other awareness-based practices. Our goal is to develop strong minds and bodies while learning to release tension, focus, and relax.

This class is free. Students should bring their own yoga mats. Class will be held outside in the courtyard if weather allows. Otherwise, it will be held in the Annex.
