    The book club will be discussing Prince of Cats, by Ronald Wimberly.

    The Graphic Novel Book Club is an adult book club that meets monthly to discuss comics and graphic novels. We will select from a wide variety of titles - indie and foreign comics to classic superhero storylines. Whether you are just getting into comics or a life-long reader, you'll find good conversation and something new to read.

    Tuesdays, 2:30-3:00 pm OR 3:15-3:45 pm – Ms. Carla

    Build early literacy and school readiness skills in this engaged reading program. Preschoolers read and chat with elementary aged buddies, who model great reading. These elementary readers get to practice reading to someone who won't notice their mistakes and really loves stories. Everyone benefits when kids read together!

    The Pawling Library is starting a vegetable and herb garden! Gardening Club will meet once a week to plant and tend the garden and learn about gardening and the environment.

    Team meeting and practice for the Middle School Battle of the Books

    The Battle of the Books is a fun competition between libraries in the Mid-Hudson Library System. Teams read the same books and compete against each other in a round robin style trivia competition. This year the books for the Middle School Team are: Doll Bones by Holly Black, It Ain’t so Awful, Falafel by Firoozeh Dumas, Ranger's Apprentice: The Ruins of Gorlan by John Flanagan, First Rule of Punk by Celia C. Perez, Super Max and the Mystery of Thornwood's Revenge by Susan Vaught, and Wolf Hollow by Lauren Wolk.

    On July 24 we will meet at the Patterson Library to practice battling against them, and on August 7 other teams will join us at the Pawling Library to practice.

    Does your baby love to bounce and play? Join Ms. Neena for a story, singing, and rhyming sure to get baby giggling. All activities are designed to enhance attention and focus, familiarize children with the fundamentals of reading and talking, and instill a love of reading. The program ends with a 10-15 minute social play session or baby-safe art activity.

    We are excited to announce Tuneful Tykes, featuring special guest musician and teacher, Tara Micale! These special music and movement classes are for any child 2-3 years old who loves to sing, dance, or just enjoys music. Families can attend one or both classes. Program includes songs, fine and gross motor, and musical development. Ms. Tara is a trained music educator, currently pursuing her degree at the The Hartt School of Music in Hartford, CT
