Did you know even young children
can learn to program a computer?

Every child should have the opportunity to learn computer science. Come join us for an hour of code, where we’ll show you a new computer learning tool called Blockly and inspire you to think, plan and execute programs just like a real computer programmer. Programming helps nurture problem solving skills, logic and creativity.  It’s fun and easy to learn thanks to Code.org!

During our children’s winter season we’ll be offering regular sessions to introduce children to the world of computer programming. Think you might be interested…come try it out. Join us for An Hour of Code*!
Our space is limited so registration is required by calling (845) 855-3444.

“Don’t just sit there playing computer games on a tablet or phone
…come learn to make games and stories of your own!” President Obama

*An Hour of Code is being organized by Code.org, a public, non-profit dedicated to expanding access to computer science, and increasing participation by women and underrepresented students of color.  Their vision is that every student in every school should have the opportunity to learn computer science. Code.org increases diversity in computer science by reaching students of all backgrounds where they are, at their skill-level, in their schools, and in ways that inspire them to keep learning.
