(Ages 2 – 6 years and a caregiver) Friday, 8/12, 5:30 – 6:30 PM– Main Library/Courtyard Come tinker, thinker, explore, and build at the library with Ms. Neena and Ms. Carla. This event will feature a wide variety of building blocks and materials, challenging kids to think like an engineer. A-maze-ing Mazes Kit

(Grades K – 5 and a caregiver) This program is a take home kit; a pre-prepped learning activity for children to do at home with a caregiver. To participate, a caregiver must pick the kit up from the library once it is available. Available for pick up week of 7/22. Our staff will email registrants once they are available. Steve Spangler Science Club

(Grades K – 5 and a caregiver) Series of 6 kits, weekly. 7/15 – 8/19 This program is a series of 6 take home kits; pre-prepped learning activities for children entering grades Kindergarten – 5th grade in Fall 2022 to do at home with a caregiver. To participate, a caregiver must pick each kit up from the library once they are available. Families can register for all the weeks or individual weeks. Our staff will email registrants weekly once each kit is available. Kits are made to order and registration is required. Robotics Lab

For children entering grades K-2 in fall 2022. Alternating Wednesdays (7/13, 7/27, & 8/10) 2:00 – 3:00 PM – Library Annex Learn robotics and coding offline with Sphero’s indi bots. Participants will learn the building blocks of coding while completing challenges using the indi bots, designed specifically for early elementary students. Registration is required. Graham Cracker Math (Ages 2-5 and caregiver)

This program is a take home kit; a pre-prepped learning activity for children ages 2-5 to do at home with a caregiver. To participate, a caregiver must pick the kit up from the library once it is available. Kits are made to order and differentiated by child’s age. Kit available week of 5/27. Our staff will email registrants once they are available. Snack time can be learning time, too! Practice sorting, graphing, and comparing with this kit, which will include several graham cracker type snacks. Registration required. Register here.

Participants will personalize various coloring pages to use with our favorite Augmented Reality app, Quiver. Learn about AR technology through direct experience. Augmented Reality Art Kit (Grades K-5)

Age range: Grades Kindergarten – 5th Kits available the week of 3/18 This program brings your artwork to life with augmented reality (AR), an interactive virtual experience. This kit will include various coloring pages to use with our favorite augmented reality app, Quiver. Families will need a smart device with a camera (iPad, smartphone, etc.) and access to the internet to use Quiver from home. This program is available as both a take-home kit and a small group, masked in-person event. Please pick only one option when registering. Registration is required. Participants will be required to pick up their activity kit from the library once the order is ready; staff will notify participants when orders are ready. Register here.

This messy program is available as both a take-home kit and a small group, masked in-person event. Please pick only one option when registering. Registration is required. Age range: Grades K-5 Take Home Kit Only: Available week of 11/12 Zoom: Thursday, 11/11, 4:00 – 5:00 PM REGISTER HERE. Join our Zoom Slime tutorial for tips and a chance to share with other kids. This activity is available as just a take home kit or as a take-home kit and a digital class. Slime lovers and those new to slime are welcome to join us on Zoom as we make slime together and talk all things messy! This time, we’re making whiteboard slime, which you can really draw on!
