STEAM Kits: Oil Spill Cleanup Age Range: Grades K-4 and a caregiver Date: Kits available for pickup the week of April 22. Our staff will notify you by email when kits are ready for pickup. This Earth Day, we’re challenging families to use engineering to help the planet. This activity kit includes educational information on water pollution, as well as a hands on experiment. Can your family creatively and quickly clear the water after a dangerous oil spill? Play & learn offline as a family or use our video tutorials for guided learning. Grades K-4 and families Activity Kit and Tutorial Available Week of 2/2 -Miss Neena Paper circuits create cards with small LEDs that light up. This kit includes all the materials your family will need to make a light up card that can be given as a Valentine’s gift, sent as a thank you, or kept! Saturday, 10/03, 2:00 – 2:45 pm – Live on Zoom Local author and leader in education, Obed Figueroa, recently released the book Marcus Learns About the Different Types of Doctors. The story takes the title character (and readers!) through a community health center, where Marcus meets many different healthcare professionals, and learns about how they help his community. Live on Zoom ; Alternating Tuesdays (9/29, 10/13, 10/27, & 11/10) 4:00-5:00 pm – Phil Scratch JR is an easy coding program designed specifically for children ages 5-7 to create interactive art and games, all while learning to code.
