Make Me an Author AT HOME KITS

Make Me an Author (AT HOME Kits!) (Grades K-5 and a caregiver) Kit available for pick up in mid-July. Return by August 20th to have your book published. This summer, kids and families have the opportunity to write, illustrate, and publish a real book! With writing support from at-home caregivers, kids can craft their own story. Then, using drawings, photos, or other art, kids will illustrate their work. Return your final draft to the library and we’ll take care of the rest! In order to be published by the library, the story will need to address one of the following themes: anti-bullying, overcoming challenges, or coping with big feelings. Each participant will receive a bound version of their book to keep. Partially funded by the Dutchess County Office of Children and Family Services. Registration required. Register at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/368577042857. This program is also available as a weekly in-person program, with writing support from our staff and volunteers.
