Age range: Grades Kindergarten – 5th grade Last Friday of each month (4/29, 5/27, 6/17) 1:00-2:00 PM – Miss Neena This program welcomes homeschoolers to get together and socialize while we play games, complete art activities, and complete learning challenges. This program will be held outside when possible. This session, the focus will be on “escape” games. Caregivers welcome to spend time chatting and sharing tips, but not required to participate in the events. Registration is required. Register here.

LIVE ON ZOOM, 1:00-2:00 pm – Ms. Neena This program is designed for children currently in grades K-5 and their homeschooling equivalents. Join us for social sharing and guided activities using materials you already have at home. The goal is to promote collaboration and connection via virtual time together.  This session, we’ll play some unusual versions of Pictionary and host a Show and Tell. Interested in joining us? This session, the focus will be kid driven social interaction. We may play group games like charades or we may just chat and be silly. Up to the group! Register here. At this time, we can ONLY accommodate home schooling children—this does not include children enrolled in remote learning through a school district. Remote learners are instead welcome in all our other virtual and kit programming.

This program promotes collaboration through virtual activities. Topics rotate; upcoming topics include leadership and elections, pirate codes, and more. At this time, we can ONLY accommodate home schooling children—this does not include children enrolled in remote learning through a school district. Homeschool Sunshine Baskets

Homeschool Sunshine Baskets

Friday, November 30th, from 1:00-2:00 pm — Library Annex Homeschool families are invited to join us as we gather to do some good for the community. We will put together sunshine baskets to kick off the winter holiday season. These baskets, filled with necessities and small gifts will be donated to the Pawling Resource Center after the conclusion of the event. Though there is no cost to participate, homeschooling families are responsible for purchasing the materials for the baskets and bringing them for use in the program. Should this be a problem for your family, but you still wish to participate, please contact Children’s Programs Coordinator, Neena McBaer in advance of the program at children@pawlinglibrary.org or 845-855-3444.

For families who homeschool with children of any age. First and Third Mondays of the month (1/29, 2/12, 2/26, 3/12) 10:30-11:30 am- Ms. Neena, Annex This program serves a wide variety of purposes and welcomes homeschoolers of all ages to create an inclusive space for adult discussion and child social learning. Loose activities, like community LEGO builds and group problem-solving challenges are designed for the children, freeing caregivers up to come together, support, and learn from one another. Topics of caregiver discussion and planned activities based on families’ needs.
