STEAM Kits: Oil Spill Cleanup (Grades K-4)

STEAM Kits: Oil Spill Cleanup Age Range: Grades K-4 and a caregiver Date: Kits available for pickup the week of April 22. Our staff will notify you by email when kits are ready for pickup. This Earth Day, we’re challenging families to use engineering to help the planet. This activity kit includes educational information on water pollution, as well as a hands on experiment. Can your family creatively and quickly clear the water after a dangerous oil spill? Play & learn offline as a family or use our video tutorials for guided learning. Kits are designed so you can use them at home on your schedule. Developing readers may need support to complete the program. Click here to register. Kits are available to anyone who can come to our library to pick up the materials, and quarantined for 48 hours after packing, in accordance to our COVID-19 response policies. Kids will be given the space to chat freely and build with whatever materials they have on hand. Don’t have any LEGOs at home? All live programming will be held over Zoom, which must be downloaded in advance. Caregivers must be present while setting up the connection.We encourage but do not require caregiver participation.
