Yin Restorative Yoga / CANCELLED

View Calendar
Nov/Tue/2021 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Tuesday afternoons, from 1-2 pm

Instructor: Maria Polhemus

Note: This program will return on Tuesday, November 9th.

Yin Restorative Yoga is a gentle practice.

The poses are held longer than hatha yoga (1 minute to 3-4 minutes) and mostly performed close to the floor. There are few standing postures.

This form of yoga is known for calming and balancing the mind, body and internal organs, increasing circulation, and improving flexibility and joint mobility.

Yin Restorative Yoga encourages the use of props. For class make sure you have a strap (belt or scarf will do), yoga block (or book), eye pillow, and pillows, rolled up towels etc. for various areas of support.

Please join us for a stress relieving hour of gentle exercise and relaxation.

Each session ends with a guided meditation.

Program fee: $4.00, per class.

Note: We ask that you pay in advance for a full month of yoga classes.

For November:

One month of Yin Restorative Yoga: $16.00

You can make a non-refundable payment each month using our library’s PayPal account, by check or money order.

Please make checks / money orders payable to Pawling Library, and mail to Pawling Library, 11 Broad St, Pawling, NY 12564.

Make sure enclosed with your payment is your name, and indicate that payment is for Yin Restorative Yoga classes.

Thank you so very much.

The New York State Citizen Preparedness Corps Training Program invites you to participate in this private training event.

Seating will be on a first come, first served basis.

With severe weather events becoming more frequent and more extreme, it is more important than ever that New Yorkers are prepared for disasters. The NY Citizen Preparedness Training Program teaches residents to have the tools and resources to prepare for any type of disaster, respond accordingly and recover as quickly as possible to pre-disaster conditions. The training course will provide an introduction to responding to a natural or man-made disaster. Participants will be advised on how to properly prepare for any disaster, including developing a family emergency plan and stocking up on emergency supplies.
