Come play card and board games in the library. The library will provide a selection of games, but you are also encouraged to bring any games you might want to play.

Formerly known as "Project Do Something", this is a year-round volunteer opportunity for ages 11 & up. The group will meet twice a month to plan or work on service projects to benefit the Library and the Pawling community.
Meeting dates: The first and third Wednesday of each month at 5 pm to 6:30 pm. There may be additional dates depending on the project.
The Pawling Library is now a Volunteer Certification Organization through the Points of Light Organization. Volunteers who meet the required annual hours for their age group will be recognized with a letter from the President of the United States and possibly other awards. 06/08/2023 Tweens & teens are invited to join us on this field trip to the Great Hollow Nature Preserve in New Fairfield, CT. During the Hiker Safety and First Aid program, participants will learn the basics of first aid and hiking safety such as what to wear, what to pack, and how to be found if lost. Students will hike into the woods and try their hand at emergency shelter building and a first aid kit activity where students will be able to make and bring home their own kits. Families must supply their own transportation to and from the event. Registration is required. For age 10 & up.

6/09/2023 This is a makeup session for the April cancellation. This role-playing adventure will be led by Dungeon Master Ted Bushman and is open to tweens & teens in 5th grade and up. Registration is required.
Ted Bushman is a fantasy/science fiction author, actor, and writer of musicals, and has more than a decade's experience in interactive storytelling. His games are about wonder, imagination, and character. He loves empowering players to role play and tell the stories that excite them.

Members of the Pawling Library's VounTeens group will be available to help senior citizens with computer-related questions and problems at this weekly drop-in session. Please bring your device and/or library card and a volunteer will work one-on-one with you. Appointments are not necessary.The help sessions will take place in the Teen Space.

The middle school Battle of the Books team will meet on alternate Mondays at 5 pm in the Library Annex. This team is open to students currently in 4 through 8th grades.
Battle of the Books is a Mid-Hudson Library System-wide program that introduces participants great books, teamwork, and friendly competition. The Regional Battle is to be held between 9/8 - 9/11. The Final Battle will be held on Saturday, 9/16.
