Beautiful Whaley Lake has a great history that dates back many years.

Please join us as members of the Whaley Lake Committee assemble for a panel discussion to address your concerns on the status of the Whaley Lake Dam project.

This program is of course of special interest to the people of Holmes, but all are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The Pawling Library would like to thank the Whaley Lake Committee for this partnership and  for the opportunity for voices to be heard.

Many of us are curious about veganism but think it sounds way too difficult to actually dive in. Author of the lifestyle guidebook Vegan Love, Maya Gottfried thought the very same thing. Now she's been vegan for more than a decade. In this introduction to veganism, Maya will share the compelling ethical, environmental, and health reasons to opt for a vegan lifestyle and share her favorite tips and tricks for everything from eating out at restaurants to buying leather-free fancy shoes, to navigating the holidays. Bring your curiosity and your questions!

About our presenter: Maya Gottfried is the author of three children's books, including Good Dog and Our Farm: By the Animals of Farm Sanctuary (both published by Knopf), as well as the adult nonfiction lifestyle guide Vegan Love.
