President of the Library Books Creative Writing Contest (Grades K-12)
Entry Forms Available starting September 18th
Entries due October 23
Calling all imaginations! It’s time to get creative. The library book characters on our shelves are electing a president this year, and they need your help! Students in grades K-12 can fill out our creative writing nomination form, telling us what book character they think would make a good president and why. Are they strong and smart? Kind and brave? Would they pass laws to protect animals or give out free cake to everyone?
Nominated characters will go head to head in elections, where our community will decide who should be the next Library Book Presidents, based on their nominations! One winner will be decided for the Children’s division (ages 5-10) and one for the Tween/Teen division (ages 11-18). Each division’s winning nomination will win our grand prizes; a new Kindle Fire! Additional winners will receive recognition and books.
