Join Phil remotely as we explore nature together while apart. Families connect to a group chat while walking around town or on a local trail, sharing photos and descriptions of what is found. A mobile smart device is required for the program.

    Back by popular demand, our community service club provides weekly activities themed to bring smiles to our community. Video tutorials walk kids through putting together their community service project with ease. For some creative offline time, follow along with the paper instructions instead. Either way, you can complete the project anytime, anywhere.

    Program runs six weeks, July 6-August 15. Attend as many or as few as you are able.

    This program is held live over Zoom. Join us as we sing, read, and play together. Kids love socializing with friends and singing along to favorites from the library. Each week’s story and songs will connect to the learning activity in Twodaloo Activities. Kids are given opportunities to participate in each class.

    Free Supply Kits available for pickup -- New video tutorial releases every Friday

    Whether you complete the activity offline with your toddler or watch our video tutorial together, your child will be sure to benefit. These at-home activity kits (and instructions) are designed to build early skills and promote continued literacy learning, all through play.

    The activity will line up with the week's Twodaloo Toddlers program's books and songs.

    Everyone’s an artist! In this live virtual paint night over Zoom, we’ll guide you through an easy under sea picture, or you can use the supplies we provide to make your own unique creation. Not able to pick up supplies? You can still participate with supplies you get yourself.

    Book Buddies (Grades 1-5 & Teens/tweens 11+ years old)

    Session A: Mondays, 2:30-3:00 pm

    Please take note of the time you register for, as there is a second session of this program Mondays,  3:15-3:45 pm.

    Live via Zoom 

    This program welcomes developing and reluctant readers, and provides a space where they can work on their reading skills one-on-one with a trained teen buddy. Kids read shared materials while their teen buddies provide assistance on grammar, pronunciation, and critical thinking.

    We are also looking for teen volunteers ages 11+ who are confident readers to serve as buddies. Contact Children's Program Coordinator, Neena McBaer (845-350-2771 or children@pawlinglibrary.org) for more information.

Each week, we’ll release a new video tutorial that walks children through the process of creating their own story and the pictures too! Prereaders/writers may need some adult assistance. All program materials available at no cost via kits available for pickup. Can't watch at 1:00 pm? After picking up your kit, you can complete the activity anytime, anywhere.

    We are Pawling Strong and to show that, we’re inviting kids to help us create a banner to show we’re connected, even while distancing. Each participant will receive a square to decorate. Completed squares will be added to the unity banner, displaying in the library children’s area.

    Follow along with the video tutorial or do the activity offline with the paper instructions in the kit.
