Local author and teacher Jennifer Lohrfink Morfea will be stopping by the library to read her book, The Little Hyena and answer questions about writing and publishing her own book! The program will include a fun animal art project, led by the author. Stop by and transform a golf ball into a creature with us!

Caregivers invited but not required. Want to attend but unable to find care for the younger members of your family? Contact Ms. Neena for special arrangements.

    Digital event for ages 6-10, Make gels with science

    Thursday, 10/28, 4:00-5:00 PM – Live on Zoom

    Learn about gels & how they are made as we do science together over Zoom. Harden liquids like magic and show off your creations to other kids. Supplies and instructions will be provided, though caregiver supervision is recommended, especially for developing readers.

    You will need to pick up the supply kit for this program in advance.

    3 Take home activity kit series for Grades K-5

    Available the weeks of 10/1, 10/15, & 10/29

    Join us for this series of three take home kits. Receive a mystery bag of clues and use your thinking caps to figure out whodunit! Differentiated by grade level grouping.

    Registration required. Register here. When you sign up, you register for all three kits. Missed the first few release dates? No worries! Kits will be available retroactively. Our staff will email you when each kit is ready for pickup. Then you can pick up anytime we are open on your schedule.

    Join our Zoom Slime tutorial for tips and a chance to share with other kids.

    This activity is available as just a take home kit or as a take-home kit and a digital class.

    Slime lovers and those new to slime are welcome to join us on Zoom as we make slime together and talk all things messy! This time, we’re making whiteboard slime, which you can really draw on! Supplies provided.
