Saturday, January 27th 4:30-5:30 pm, Main Library

Local author and teacher Jennifer Lohrfink Morfea will be stopping by the library to read her book, The Little Hyena and answer questions about writing and publishing her own book! The program will include a fun animal art project, led by the author. Stop by and transform a golf ball into a creature with us!

Caregivers invited but not required. Want to attend but unable to find care for the younger members of your family? Contact Ms. Neena for special arrangements.

    Local author and leader in education, Obed Figueroa, recently released the book Marcus Learns About the Different Types of Doctors. The story takes the title character (and readers!)  through a community health center, where Marcus meets many different healthcare professionals, and learns about how they help his community. Join us for a Live Zoom with the author, who will read from the book, show off some real tools doctors use every day, and answer questions about doctors’ lives.

    This program welcomes homeschoolers grades K-4. This program promotes collaboration through virtual activities. Topics rotate; upcoming topics include leadership and elections, pirate codes, and more.

    At this time, we can ONLY accommodate home schooling children—this does not include children enrolled in remote learning through a school district. Remote learners are instead welcome in all our other virtual and kit programming for school age children.
