We’ve got more animals, plates, minifigs, and trees than ever before! Come meet other LEGO fans and build together. Participants can free build or try out a challenge!

Caregivers welcome, but not required. Registration is required.

    Dog Tales * (Grades 1+)

    Biweekly Wednesdays (7/7, 7/21, 8/4, & 8/18) by 15 minute appointment – OUTDOOR

    We’ve got a new furry friend at the library! Harper is a certified therapy dog that loves to hear stories and is trained to work with children. Developing readers are invited to sign up for 15 minute sessions to practice their reading aloud, all while making a new animal friend. Register here.

    Please ONLY register for dates you plan to attend, as spaces are limited. Appointments are for one child at a time. For siblings, please make additional appointments.     Want to give your child an experience they'll never forget? Become friends with a real princess or hero as they read, sing, tell engaging stories, and play games together -- Plus, she will respond to your child's live comments by name! This is the fifth in a series of eight programs. Watch live on Thursday, July 8th, at 4:30pm to participate in the interactive experience and be automatically entered to win a video call from our pirate friend!

    Mindfulness Arts and Crafts

    Age range: Grades Kindergarten - 5th

    Supply kits provided - staff will email you when the kit is ready for pick up, at which point you can pick up anytime we are open.

    This is a six-week program. Please ONLY register for weeks you are available to pick up kits, as spaces are limited. 

    These activities center on sensory experience and directing focus through mindful creation and play. Some activities may be messy. Register here.

    Book Buddies (Grades 1+)

    Mondays, 2:30 – 3:00 PM – Zoom

    Kids work one-on-one with a teen mentor on developing reading skills. Teens will provide support when kids struggle and read or chat with them when they need a break. This is a six-week program. You must commit to 4 out of 6 weeks to join. Kids and families, register here.

    Got a tween/teen at home who is a strong reader? Youth 11 and older can volunteer as mentors in our Book Buddy program and earn community service hours! For more information, click here.

    Huge Hungry Hippos! S.T.E.A.M.

    Age range: Grades Kindergarten -5th

    Monday, 7/12, 4:00 – 5:00 PM –OUTDOOR

    Have you played the popular board game “Hungry Hungry Hippos?” This program challenges kids to work together to design and build a hippo for our own life-size version of the game! This activity will be held outside as weather allows but move indoors if needed. Register here.

    Baby Bounce and Groove

    Age range: Birth – 18 months and a caregiver

    Tuesdays, 10:00 – 10:30 am – MIXED LOCATION

    Join us for stories, rhymes, and baby movement. We’ll focus on the keys for early literacy—singing, reading, talking, playing, and pre-writing. This six-week program will be held outside in our courtyard as weather allows but move indoors if conditions are poor. Register here.

    Sport S.T.E.A.M (Grades K-5)

    This program is available as an in-person class or as a take-home kit for families to do together at home. Please select only one option when registering.

    In-Person: Tuesdays, 11:00 am – 12:00 pm – INDOOR

    Take Home Kit: Available weekly for pickup on your schedule. Staff will notify you via email when a new kit is available.

    Explore the science, math, engineering, and art elements of popular sports through hands-on activities. Plus, we’ll talk Olympics!

    Read and Play (3-5 years)

    Wednesdays, 1:30-2:30 PM – MIXED LOCATION

    Our Kindergarten readiness class uses a play-based curriculum to encourage learning connections. Our small group will focus on early literacy and math skills through a combination of hands-on activities and group storytime. This program will be held in the library courtyard when weather allows, but move indoors as needed. Caregivers required to remain on site for the program. Runs six weeks. Register here.

    Age range: Grades 2-5

    Biweekly on Wednesdays (7/14, 7/28, & 8/11) 1:00-2:00 PM – Zoom

    Explore and share your favorite Roblox games with other Roblox fans! This social club invites kids to collaborate in the virtual world. A Roblox account (set up with a caregiver) is required to participate. Register here.
