For families who homeschool with children of any age. First and Third Mondays of the month (1/29, 2/12, 2/26, 3/12) 10:30-11:30 am- Ms. Neena, Annex

This program serves a wide variety of purposes and welcomes homeschoolers of all ages to create an inclusive space for adult discussion and child social learning. Loose activities, like community LEGO builds and group problem-solving challenges are designed for the children, freeing caregivers up to come together, support, and learn from one another. Topics of caregiver discussion and planned activities based on families’ needs.

    Tuesdays 5:15-6:15 pm – Phil

    One of the most important parts of a good story are the illustrations. Learn to create scenes that tell a story and portray characters with different attitudes and emotions using examples from our favorite books. Children will share their creations with their friends and work together to create silly stories. Developing readers and writers welcome.

    This program starts in the library and ends in the library annex.

    We love stories! Each week, we will dive into gorgeous picture books and have fun making connections to what we read. Program includes art or sensory activity, songs, and more. All activities designed to help foster a love of reading and prepare children for kindergarten.

    Caregivers must remain in the library with children who are not fully potty trained.

    Teachers say that the skills that lead to the most student success in school are their social and emotional skills. Join us to help develop these skills, all while children play! This supervised hour of fun provides a large space for children to meet and play, either inside or out, depending on the weather. Bring a favorite toy or game and invite a friend!

    THERE WILL BE NO CLASS ON 10/3

    Does your baby love to bounce and play? Join Ms. Neena for a story, singing, and rhyming sure to get baby giggling. All activities are designed to enhance attention and focus, familiarize children with the fundamentals of reading and talking, and instill a love of reading. The program ends with a 10-15 minute social play session or baby-safe art activity.

    New school year, new LEGO club. Come meet other LEGO fans and build together. Participants can free build or try their hand at Ms. Neena’s weekly challenge.

    THERE WILL BE NO PROGRAM ON 11/15.

    On Friday mornings, kids rule the library! Join Ms. Neena, while the library is still closed, for an uninhibited, fun and loud story time. This program incorporates sensory, art, storytelling, music, and movement all in one to prepare children to read, write, and think critically. Topics vary by week, and the program ends with activity stations. Parents and caregivers required to remain in the library for the duration of the program.
