This is the regular weekly meeting of the Pawling Library Battle of the Books team.
Battle of the Books is a national Summer Reading Program for middle- and high-school students. Participants in the Mid-Hudson Library System program are asked to read the selected titles each summer, and then participate in trivia battles based on the books. The goal of the program is to promote a love of reading in children and teens, to expose them to titles and authors that they might not encounter in school, and to inspire teamwork and good sportsmanship in an atmosphere of friendly competition.
For more information, please contact Young Adult Program Coordinator, Maureen McGrath @ teen@pawlinglibrary.org

Drop-in anytime from 2:00 - 4:00 PM
Thanks to our excellent community readers, we've earned a celebratory end of summer ice cream party! We're only half way through summer and already Pawling has collectively read over 50,000 minutes (as of 8/1/22). To celebrate, readers of all ages are invited to join us for ice cream sandwiches, popsicles, and fun and games in the courtyard.
Drop in with your friends or family on August 27th, anytime from 2:00 - 4:00 PM, no registration required. We'll have yard games like lawn bowling and provide access to our outdoor play materials, including our water play tables and giant lawn blocks.
This event is intended for patrons who have participated in our Summer Reading Challenge, but all are welcome to join us and celebrate their hard work! For more information, please email Maureen or Neena or call us at 845-855-3444.
