Between Thanksgiving and New Year’s, we hold special one-time events instead of weekly programs. Join us as we celebrate winter and The Holidays in this special story hour designed to make the season bright. Features favorite songs like “Snowflake, snowflake,” and mess-free crafts perfect for holiday gifting or hanging up at home.

    Want to give your child an experience they'll never forget? Become friends with a real princess or hero as they read, sing, tell engaging stories, and play games together -- Plus, she will respond to your child's live comments by name! This is the fifth in a series of eight programs. Watch live on Thursday, July 8th, at 4:30pm to participate in the interactive experience and be automatically entered to win a video call from our pirate friend!

    Program is designed for ages 3-8, but families with youth of any age are welcome to join and participate! This is a partnership between Parties with Character and the following libraries:

    Baby Bounce and Groove

    Age range: Birth – 18 months and a caregiver

    Tuesdays, 10:00 – 10:30 am – MIXED LOCATION

    Join us for stories, rhymes, and baby movement. We’ll focus on the keys for early literacy—singing, reading, talking, playing, and pre-writing. This six-week program will be held outside in our courtyard as weather allows but move indoors if conditions are poor. Register here.

    Unvaccinated patrons over the age of two MUST wear a mask while attending in-person library events. This means children ages 3- 12 must be masked at events, even outdoors.

    Age range: Ages 2-5 and a caregiver

    Wednesdays, 10-10:30 AM - Zoom

    Not ready to step back into in-person programs? We get it. This program will feature interactive games, music, and stories. Families welcome to tune in just to watch or to participate over camera/mic. Runs six weeks, starting 7/14. Register here.

    Read and Play (3-5 years)

    Wednesdays, 1:30-2:30 PM – MIXED LOCATION

    Our Kindergarten readiness class uses a play-based curriculum to encourage learning connections. Our small group will focus on early literacy and math skills through a combination of hands-on activities and group storytime. This program will be held in the library courtyard when weather allows, but move indoors as needed. Caregivers required to remain on site for the program. Runs six weeks. Register here.

    Age range: 2.5 – 3.5 years and a caregiver

    Fridays, 10:00-10:45 AM – MIXED LOCATION

    On Friday mornings, toddlers rule the library! This program includes songs, stories, and games plus a play- based learning activity, like art or parachute play. This six- week program will be held outside in our courtyard as weather allows but move indoors if needed. Register here.

    Safari Adventure Kit

    Age range: 1.5 - 5 years and caregiver

    Available for pickup mid-July - staff will email you when the kit is ready for pick up, at which point you can pick up anytime we are open.

    Ready for a safari? Register to pick up a kit including all the supplies you’ll need to create your own safari hat. Then, explore the library courtyard (or set up your own animal scavenger hunt at home) to see if you can find all our jungle animals. Register here.
