Interested in signing up for our Fall children's programs? Fill out our Registration form and return it to the library by fax, email, or in person at the circulation desk. Program registration is run through a lottery. Lottery registrations run from September 14 at noon to - September 19 at 8 pm. Placements will be available September 21-22. Programs begin September 25 and run through November 18. Holiday programs will run the November 27-December 9, and are included in this registration.     Tuesdays, 10:00 – 10:30 am – MIXED LOCATION

    Join us for stories, rhymes, and baby movement. We’ll focus on the keys for early literacy—singing, reading, talking, playing, and pre-writing. This six-week program will be held outside in our courtyard as weather allows but move indoors if conditions are not suitable for babies.

    Registration is required. Join us for as many or as few classes as you are comfortable and able, but please ONLY register for dates you plan to attend, as spaces are limited. REGISTER HERE.

    Unvaccinated patrons over the age of two MUST wear a mask while attending in-person library events. This means children ages 3- 12 must be masked at events, even outdoors.

    Tuesday, 10/19/21, 1:30 - 2:30 PM – OUTDOOR

    A key to Kindergarten success is the ability to follow directions! Join as we turn our courtyard into an obstacle course that kids race through while testing their balance, problem solving, and listening skills. Register here.

    Unvaccinated patrons over the age of two years old MUST wear a mask while attending in-person library events. This means children ages 3- 12 must be masked at events, even outdoors. We highly suggest but do not require vaccinated patrons mask up at indoor events.

    Wednesdays, 1:30-2:30 PM – MIXED LOCATION

    Our Kindergarten readiness class uses a play-based curriculum to encourage learning connections. Our small group will focus on early literacy and math skills through a combination of hands-on activities and group story time. This program will be held in the library courtyard when weather allows, but move indoors as needed. Caregivers required to remain on site for the program.

    Registration required. Join us for the series or just the dates you are comfortable and able, but please ONLY register for dates you plan to attend, as spaces are limited.     Toddlers in Training

    Ages: 18 – 30 months and a caregiver

    Thursdays, 10:00 – 10:45 am –MIXED LOCATION

    REGISTER HERE.

    Interactive storytime featuring puppets, instruments, and elements of music & movement. Program ends with playtime. This program will be held outside in our courtyard as weather allows but move indoors if conditions are poor. Registration required.

    Join us when you are able and comfortable, whether that's for one week or all the classes. But please ONLY register for dates you plan to attend, as spaces are limited.     Hide a spooky message or picture for a friend or family member to uncover as we make our own scratch art paper. This event will be outdoor if weather allows. Otherwise, it will be hosted indoors. Registration required. Register here.

    Fridays, 10:00-11:00 AM – MIXED LOCATION

    On Friday mornings, toddlers rule the library! This program includes songs, stories, and games plus a play-based learning activity, like art or parachute play. This program will be held outside in our courtyard as weather allows but move indoors if needed due to weather or other concerns. Registration required.

    Learn how to make bead animal keychains that are great for backpacks and gifts. Includes a tutorial.

    Take home activity kit for Grades K-2 and their families.

    Available the week of 10/22

    This kit will include materials for children in grades Kindergarten – 2nd grade to create a witch or wizard hat ring toss game. Challenge family and friends to a ring toss showdown using supplies you made!

    Take home activity kit for ages 1.5 - 5 years and a caregiver

    Available mid-October

    Measure, count, and sort with this kit, which uses monsters to encourage math learning. Kits for ages 3-5 will include M&Ms or Skittles for use in the activity. No candy will be used for activities for children under 3.
