More About Our Programs
Whether it's developing early literacy skills or exploring science topics like circuits or gravity, our programs center on developmentally appropriate education. Though program topics vary, growth and child development is at the core of every program we host.
Kids learn best when they are involved, whether through hands-on experiments, play, or direct skill practice. The crafts and activities included in our program are designed to be fun and beneficial for children's growth and development. Even our play based activities encourage the development of socio-emotional and gross motor skills and the exploration of important educational concepts.
Our weekly program series are led by our team of programming educators which includes current and former teachers. Regardless of their backgrounds, our educators utilize their years of experience working with children and research-backed best practices to encourage exploration and learning.
All of our children's programs are free to attend, thanks to grants and generous donations by members of our community. We are grateful to all the donors who make our services possible.
Many of our seasonal programs, like Read and Play, Twodaloo Twos, Outdoor Playgroup, all of our science clubs, and our Literacy Heroes event series are partially funded by Dutchess County's generous support of literacy and S.T.E.A.M initiatives.
