Play Group Wednesdays, 10:30-11:30 AM Nine week event series, 09/18 - 11/18 NO CLASS 10/04 Age range: Ages 2-5 years and a caregiver Kids are invited to play and build social connections with other children and tween volunteers during this program, which sees our room set up with learning goals in mind. We'll use play to explore science, math, literacy, and more. If weather and spaces allow, we may play outdoors.  Registration is highly suggested. Join us for as many or as few classes as you are able, but please ONLY register for the dates you will attend. Due to the number of no-shows we have had at recent events, registration is now week by week. Drop ins will be accommodated whenever space is available, but advanced registration is preferred.

Computer Help for Seniors

        Members of the Pawling Library’s VounTeens group will be available to help senior citizens with computer-related questions and problems at this weekly session. Please bring your device and/or library card and a volunteer will work one-on-one with you. Appointments are not necessary.The help sessions will take place in the Teen Space. Walk-ins are welcome.         This is a year-round volunteer opportunity for ages 11 & up. The group will meet twice a month to plan or work on service projects to benefit the Library and the Pawling community. Meeting dates: The first and third Wednesday of each month at 5 pm to 6:30 pm. There may be additional dates depending on the project. Poetry Workshop: The Sonnet, Part I / Online Program

Thank you.   The sonnet may be the loveliest of all poetic forms. In Part I of our program, we will learn all about the sonnet form, and listen to examples by the masters William Shakespeare and Elizabeth Barrett Browning. Did you know that 20th century poet Dylan Thomas also composed sonnets? This poetic form is still used in our present day. As homework, if you wish, you may prepare your own sonnet, to be shared with us when we meet again for Part II of the program.     About our presenter: Marian Grudko is the author of Lucinda Snowdrop and Claudine: A Fairy Tale for Exceptional Grownups, co-authored with T.A. Program ends with play. This program series may include outdoor playtime if weather allows.  Registration is highly suggested. While activities vary week to week, messy materials and smocks are occasionally used. We may play outdoors if weather allows. Registration is highly suggested. Join us for as many or as few classes as you are able, but please ONLY register for the dates you will attend. Due to the number of no-shows we have had at recent events, registration is now week by week. Drop ins will be accommodated whenever space is available, but advanced registration is preferred.
