There is no Play Group on October 4, 2023. Classes will resume as usual next week.  Play Group Wednesdays, 10:30-11:30 AM Nine week event series, 09/18 - 11/18 NO CLASS 10/04 Age range: Ages 2-5 years and a caregiver Kids are invited to play and build social connections with other children and tween volunteers during this program, which sees our room set up with learning goals in mind. We'll use play to explore science, math, literacy, and more. If weather and spaces allow, we may play outdoors.  Registration is highly suggested, though drop-ins are welcome as space allows. Registration opens in September 2023.

        This is a year-round volunteer opportunity for ages 11 & up. The group will meet twice a month to plan or work on service projects to benefit the Library and the Pawling community. Meeting dates: The first and third Wednesday of each month at 5 pm to 6:30 pm. There may be additional dates depending on the project. In fact, they are in active service in the treatment of PTSD, depression, in prison populations, and more. Because of who they are and how they see the world – horses can make us better people, if we let them. During this interactive presentation Stephanie Rogers will be discussing Horsetalker, LLC, her company which is dedicated to improving communication between humans and horses. She will be sharing her experience, enlightening us on how these beautiful animals can improve our lives. Classes will resume as usual next week.    Toddlers in Training Thursdays, 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM Nine week event series, 09/18 - 11/18 NO CLASS 10/05 Age range: 18-30 months & a caregiver Library Annex, with Neena Interactive story time featuring puppets, instruments, and elements of music & movement. Program ends with play. This program series may include outdoor playtime if weather allows.

Classes will resume as usual next week.  Twoodalo Twos Thursdays Thursdays, 11:00 AM  - 12:00 PM Nine week event series, 09/18 - 11/18 NO CLASS 10/05 Age Range: 2.5 – 3.5 years & a caregiver This program includes songs, stories, and games plus 20 minutes of play-based learning stations, like art, blocks, or fine motor play. While activities vary week to week, messy materials and smocks are occasionally used. We may play outdoors if weather allows. Registration is highly suggested, though drop-ins are welcome as space allows. Registration opens in September 2023. Note: This program is repeated twice weekly, once on Thursdays and once on Fridays.

Coloring Group: Adult Art Workshop

Each week we’ll be coloring a new mandala design, while also enjoying a good round of conversation. You don’t have to have a degree in art to participate…just some paper and color pencils. Please join us. Relax and connect with like-minded people, and add a burst of color to your day! All supplies will be provided.

Each month, at these supportive meetings, we’ll be encouraging one another to maintain a nutritious, balanced diet, get plenty of exercise, and keep a positive attitude…especially when we stray from our intended goals. Some of the members of this group have completed a year-long National Diabetes Prevention Program through a partnership with Putnam Independent Living Services and the Pawling Library. The Blue Olive: Autumn Recipes

Thank you.   The Pawling Library will host The Blue Olive for another special event exploring the many ways to use extra virgin olive oil and aged vinegar. Co-founder John Canevari will lead an interactive tasting seminar to guide the class through several unique palette-pleasing recipes. Guests will have the opportunity to taste each recipe and take notes on the preparation and cooking process used to create each dish. The Blue Olive is excited to share brand new products and fantastic recipes from their test kitchen with new cooks and experienced chefs alike.
