    Hatha Yoga is one of the most popular relaxing forms of exercise.

    Spend an hour with us and enjoy a new found path to tranquility.

    Each session ends with a guided meditation.

    Program fee: $4.00, per class. 

    Note: We ask that you pay in advance for a full month of yoga classes.

    For  July: 

    One Thursday yoga class a week – $20

    You can make a non-refundable payment each month using our library’s PayPal  account, by check or money order.

    Please make checks / money orders payable to Pawling Library, and mail to Pawling Library, 11 Broad St, Pawling, NY 12564. 

    Make sure enclosed with your payment is your name, and indicate that payment is for Hatha Yoga classes.

    Age Range: 18 – 30 months and a caregiver

    Thursdays, 10:00 – 10:45 am –MIXED LOCATION

    Interactive storytime featuring puppets, instruments, and elements of music & movement. Program ends with play. This six-week program will be held outside in our courtyard as weather allows but move indoors if conditions are poor. Register here.

    Unvaccinated patrons over the age of two MUST wear a mask while attending in-person library events. This means children ages 3- 12 must be masked at events, even outdoors.

    Pre-K Science Club (3.5-5 years)

    Thursdays, 11:00-11:45 AM –INDOORS

    Little explorers will investigate early science concepts as a small group. Each week’s program includes a story plus games or science experiments. Smocks will be provided, but we suggest kids wear clothes that can get messy. This is a six-week program.

    Caregivers required to remain on site for the program. Runs six weeks. Register here.

    The Pawling Library and Putnam Independent Living Services are partnering to offer you the National Diabetes Prevention Program.

    Are you prediabetic?

    Work with a trained lifestyle coach and a CDC approved curriculum to prevent or delay types 2 diabetes.

    Prevent Type 2 will give you a full year of support to help you to:

    Stories about the Animals at a Farm Sanctuary  / Online Program

    Safe Haven Farm Sanctuary provides a lifelong home to farm animals rescued from slaughter and abuse. The sanctuary currently has 110 animals, including goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, turkeys, donkeys, and horses. The farm’s cofounders, Ellen and Bill Crain, will tell the stories of some of the animals.  The program will be of interest to children as well as adults.

    About our presenters: Ellen Crain is a retired pediatrician.  She is a professor emerita at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Bill Crain is a professor of psychology at The City College of New York. He is the author of The Emotional Lives of Animals and Children: Insights from a Farm Sanctuary.
