    This summer, we’re learning all about space! This weekly program will feature literacy and STEM building crafts, stories, outdoor games, and sensory projects that explore all things out of this world. A small snack will be provided to each participant each week.

    Teen/Kid Buddy Book Club (Developing readers entering grades 1- 5)

    Wednesdays, 3:00-4:00 pm – Ms. Carla

    Kids and teen/tween volunteers 11 and up team up to complete a weekly reading and themed challenge in this literacy focused hour. The teens assist children with difficult words and confusing concepts while reading. The program ends with a team game or activity that makes reading fun!

    Middle School Battle of the Books

    Team meeting and practice for the Middle School Battle of the Books

    The Battle of the Books is a fun competition between libraries in the Mid-Hudson Library System. Teams read the same books and compete against each other in a round robin style trivia competition. This year the books for the Middle School Team are: Doll Bones by Holly Black, It Ain’t so Awful, Falafel by Firoozeh Dumas, Ranger’s Apprentice: The Ruins of Gorlan by John Flanagan, First Rule of Punk by Celia C. Perez, Super Max and the Mystery of Thornwood’s Revenge by Susan Vaught, and Wolf Hollow by Lauren Wolk.

    On July 24 we will meet at the Patterson Library to practice battling against them, and on August 7 other teams will join us at the Pawling Library to practice.

Join us for a Sleep & Stress Management Essential Oil workshop where we will walk you through sleep and stress management techniques. These techniques will be paired with essential oils and each participant will make 2 different products to take home & enjoy.

    THERE WILL BE NO CLASS ON 8/1

    Does your baby love to bounce and play? Join Ms. Neena for a story, singing, and rhyming sure to get baby giggling. All activities are designed to enhance attention and focus, familiarize children with the fundamentals of reading and talking, and instill a love of reading. The program ends with a 10-15 minute social play session or baby-safe art activity.
