    We look forward to the holiday season but this time of the year can also be a stressful one.

    For many people, coloring is a relaxing activity.

    At this afternoon program, we’ll be focusing on feeling better in the moment by coloring mandalas while listening to calming music.

    Printed mandala designs and pencils will be provided.

    On Friday mornings, kids rule the library! Join Ms. Neena, while the library is still closed, for an uninhibited, fun and loud story time. This program incorporates sensory, art, storytelling, music, and movement all in one to prepare children to read, write, and think critically. Topics vary by week, and the program ends with activity stations. Parents and caregivers required to remain in the library for the duration of the program.

    Friday, November 30th, from 1:00-2:00 pm — Library Annex

    Homeschool families are invited to join us as we gather to do some good for the community. We will put together sunshine baskets to kick off the winter holiday season. These baskets, filled with necessities and small gifts will be donated to the Pawling Resource Center after the conclusion of the event. Though there is no cost to participate, homeschooling families are responsible for purchasing the materials for the baskets and bringing them for use in the program. Should this be a problem for your family, but you still wish to participate, please contact Children’s Programs Coordinator, Neena McBaer in advance of the program at children@pawlinglibrary.org or 845-855-3444.
