Brownie Troop 10017 Takes Action!

10017Girl Scout Brownie Troop 10017 is filled with girls on a mission.  They took a look around the community to see if there was something they could do to improve their world.  Was there anything they could do to help at the fire station?  How about the library?  Well, they have been busy in both places volunteering their time and talents to help make the Pawling Community a little brighter.
Tuesday, Nov. 18 the troop came to the library to offer their services to our upcoming 10017 workingHoliday Book Sale. Ms. Karen said, “The sale itself is managed by our Board of Trustees and a core group of volunteers, but I thought it would be great for the girls to contribute something festive that tied into the book sale.  The troop agreed to make bookmarks for our shoppers…what a great way to help!”

The troop spent an hour cutting, gluing and decorating ‘snow people’ to have available at bookmarksthe sale.  “The girls were really creative!  We have adorable snowmen,  snow women and even a few snow princesses for our shoppers to choose from, all specially handmade by Brownie Troop 10017,” said Ms. Karen. “The girls were so much fun to work with and so helpful.  I think our shoppers are going to love the bookmarks they made.”
