Messy Art Club Cancelled 1/23 due to Snow

The Messy Art Club for grades K – 2 is cancelled for Monday, January 23rd due to the inclement weather. This 8-week series will begin on Monday, January 30th at 4 pm. Space is still available in this program. Please visit our calendar for more information and to register.

Registration for Youth Winter Programs opens 1/4

Registration for the Winter Programs for children and teens opens on Wednesday, January 4th.   Teens: Programs will start the week of January 23rd and run through March 18th. Please sign up on the online calendar. September is Library Card Sign-Up Month!

Stop by the Library throughout September to get a Library card and new card applicants will be entered into a raffle to win a basket of books! There are baskets for adults, teens, big kids and little kids because everyone can get a library card with proof of address. With your card, you can borrow books, movies, video games, audio books, museum passes and more!

Winter 2018 Program for Teens

  The winter program session begins on January 16, and you can register now for teen programs! We are offering a variety of programs, from Minecraft Monday to Blogging to DIY club. Summer Kicks off On Monday, June 20!

The Pawling Library’s Oceans of Possibilities Summer Reading Challenge begins on Monday, June 20th! Register online and count the time you spend reading all summer! Earn badges, free books and other prizes like baseball tickets! Help us reach our community goal of 20,000 minutes and we’ll have an ice cream party to celebrate! Plus, the Library will earn a Nintendo Switch to use during Library programs! Open to kids of all ages, teens, and adults! Register here to track online or pick up a paper log from our front desk. Join us on 6/20 at 3:30 pm for a special Oceans of Possibilities Magic Show with Jim Vargias for kids from kindergarten thru 8th grade. Summer Teen Volunteers Needed

Thank you to all those who have sent in their applications to be a Summer Volunteer. We will be in touch shortly to let you know the next steps. Help Young Writers: This opportunity is to help younger children to write, make, and publish their own books. This program is funded in part through Dutchess County and OCFS. Teen Volunteer Opportunity

We are looking for a volunteers to dress as Piggie & Gerald, or to be their guide for a special program on June 11th, beginning at 10 am. Dressed as the beloved Mo Willems characters, you will encourage the children with questions and help with the planned activity. King of the Castle Nerf Battle

05/20/2022, 5:30 PM  Preteens & teens are invited to test their castle building and defense skills at this Nerf battle. We’ll build castles out of boxes to defend our “kings” from attack by the other kingdom. First kingdom to capture the opponent’s king is declared the winner. The Library will supply the boxes to build the castles and an assortment of Nerf weapon. Participants are welcome to bring their own Nerf toys. To be in the Library Annex or courtyard.
