Wiggle, Giggle & Bounce…for infants birth – 18 months & a caregiver.
Infants & parents will participate in lively sessions that include music, babiesmovement, body rhymes, nursery rhymes, listening to books and other developmentally appropriate activities. Registration is required be emailing Ms. Karen.

Thursdays, 10:00  – 10:45 am beginning November 13th

RRR@Read, Rhyme & Rompfor toddlers 18 – 30 months & a caregiver.
Toddlers and parents will participate in fun filled 45 minute sessions that include listening to books, music, movement, finger plays, nursery rhymes and other related activities designed especially for toddlers. Each session is followed by an open exploration time for children so parents can socialize. Registration is required by emailing Ms. Karen .

Come join us for story hour where we’ll be listing to stories, singing songs, and doing some story-themed activities.

This fall we have two Story Hour groups, which will meet weekly on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 9:30 a.m – 10:30 am.

After School Programming (Grades 1-5)

Magic Tree House Book Club (for readers Grades 1 – 5)magictreehouse

Join us as we read about the adventures of Jack and Annie! We’ll go around the world and through history in this club! Fun activities and lots of fun learning happening here!

The first adventure we are going to discuss is Dogs in the Dead of Night (#46) by Mary Pope Osborne, which will have to be completely read for our first meeting on October 25, 2014.

The Magic Tree House Book Club will meet once a  month on a Saturday from 4:00 – 5:oo in the Library Annex. Our first meeting will be October 25th.

Young Detectives Mystery Book Club (for readers Grades 1 – 3)

It’s never too early to start solving mysteries! Join us as we read a few mysteries, learn, and do some activities that will make us all better detectives!

The first mystery we’ll be working is  Cam Jansen and the Mystery of the Stolen Diamonds by David A. Adler which will have to be read completely for our first meeting on October 8.

The Young Detectives Mystery Book Club will meet every other Wednesday from 4:00 – 5:00. Our first meeting will be on October 8th.

Graphic Novel Club (for readers Grades 2 – 5)

We are diving into the world of graphic novels! We will be reading Geronimo Stilton, Dragonbreath, and we will visit with The Lunch Lady!! Along with reading we will be exploring our creative sides with fun activities, and lots of learning!

The Graphic Novel Book Club will meet once a month on a Monday from 4:00 to 5:00. 

The first adventure we’ll be exploring is Geronimo Stilton and the Emerald Eye by Geronimo Stilton, which will have to be read completely for our first meeting on October 20.

Registration is required.

American Girl Club (for readers Grades 2-5)

Who doesn’t love the American Girl Books?  At our book club will read about Kaya, Molly and Cecile’s adventures – so please join us! Lots of learning and fun to be had!

On our first trip into the past we’ll be reading Meet Kaya by Janet Shaw, which will have to be read completely for our first meeting on October 23.

The American Girl Club will meet once a  month on a Thursday from 4:00 to 5:oo.

The Newbery Book Club (for readers entering grades 3-5)

This Book Club will learn about the Newbery Award, and how books are chosen for that award. We will read Newbery Award Winners, and do some book related activities and discussions.

The first winner we’ll be reading is  A Wrinkle in Time” by Madeleine L’Engle. Readers should have the first 6 chapters of this book read for our first meeting on October 8th.

The Newberry book club will meet every other week on Wednesday from 5:00 to 6:00.

Clisby’s Crafting Corner…a fun crafting workshop for students in grades 1 & 2
Do you need a place to craft besides your table at home where you don’t always know what to make?  Well you can now say, “problem solved”. At Clisby’s Crafting Corner we’ll have fun making crafts on select Saturdays from 2:00 – 3:00 pm. Don’t know where to go? It’s in the community room in the yellow house next to the library. Once Upon  a Thyme…for students in grades K through 4.

Donna Castellucio, herb specialist and author of the book Rainbow of Recipes will offer theDonna2 second of a series of mini-cooking classes that will really stimulate your senses. You’ll smell and touch the herbs and spices, cook with them and enjoy tasting your creations. We’ll celebrate the holiday season with pomander balls and jazzy red tea while we enjoy hearing about the history of pomanders and listening to herbal Christmas tales, This is sure to make your holidays merry!  Registration is required.
